Chief Of Police

Chief Mike Buechler:  Chief Buechler was a Carbon County Reserve Deputy in 2004 .Chief Buechler has been with the Bridger Police Department since Febuary 2009 and promoted to Chief in April of 2012 . (from the chief)  we are a small town police force we can't always be where you need us so if you have a problem or situation feel free to come and see us the door is open and the coffee is on if you have a problem or you just want to visit stop by anytime.

SERGEANT

Sergeant Codi Peters: Sergeant Peters was a Reserve Officer in Bridger in July 2011. Peters had graduate Laurel Reserve School in May 2011.  Peters was hired as part time as a Bridger Police Officer in 2012. Peters was then hired as a full time as a Bridger Police Officer in 2013. Peters was promoted to Sergeant on July 19, 2018. Peters has a Associate of Arts in Criminal Justice 2010. Peters is a graduate of the Montana Law Enforcement Acadamy in May 2013. Peters is a certifed Instructor in (PVOC) Police Vehilce Operations Course in 2015/2016. Peters is a certifed insturctor in Firearms in 2017. Peters is a full certified Instructor. Peters holds a State of Montana Peace Officer Intermediate cerificate 2017.  Peters is also a FTO in March 2019.  Peters is a certified supervisory Sept. 2019. Peters was also a Carbon County Reserve Deputy since May 2011-Nov 2019. Peters has been to a Sergeant Academy in July-Sept 2020 and holds a cerificate. Peters holds a  State of Montana Peace Officer Advanced cerificate July 2021. 

Patrol

Officer Erik Olson:Officer Olson has been hired as a full time Bridger Police Officer December 2021. Olson has had a career as a certified optician and vision center manager. Olson spends his free time hunting, fishing, running in triathlons and spending time with his wife and kids. Olson graduate Laurel Reserve School in May 2015. 

 

RESERVE OFFICERS

Ralph Dawson: Dawson was the Chief of Police in Fromberg Dawson has been to the Montana Law Enforecement Acadamy. Dawson is also a Carbon County Reserve Deputy since 2006. 

Ben Sweet: Sweet graduate from Glendive Reserve School in October 2020.

Court Appearances

If you've received a Notice To Appear And Complain where the MUST APPEAR box is checked, you will need to appear in court on the date and time indicated on the citation.

The Bridger City Court is held every Tuesday at 10:00 AM.

The court office is open from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
